Journey of brotherhood

 


At the beginning of the new year 2025, we decided to visit the Anuradhapura Puja city. It was difficult for mom and dad to take leave as it was a working day. So I left for Anuradhapura by train with my sister and brother. It was a wonderful experience for the three of us to go that far alone. After getting down from Anuradhapura railway station, we had breakfast and prepared to go for pilgrimage. We first traveled worship to the Ruwanwelimahaseya designed by King Dutugemunu. After staying there for a while, we left to worship Jayasrimaha Bodhi. After worshiping, we had lunch in Anuradhapura Town . After visiting other shrines in the city in the evening, we left by bus again around 6 pm. That day, the three of us learned a lot about the historical significance of Anuradhapura Puja City.
