Way to kataragama

 

All the family members agreed to travel to the Kataragama Pooja site for the annual pilgrimage. We woke up happier than ever and left to go by van. After about 2 hours on the Southern Expressway, we left the Mattala entrance and first went to visit the Mattala International Airport. We saw a variety of planes that day. Later, we went to a lodge near Kataragama Pooja City, had lunch, cleaned ourselves and visited Kataragama Temple and Kataragama Kirivehera in the evening. At night we came back to the accommodation and slept after dinner. The next day, we woke up to the sound of Teva in the Kataragama Temple and left to worship at Tissamharama Vehera. That morning, after eating, we left to return through Yala jungle. On the way, we saw elephants, peacocks, deer, lakes and large reservoirs. We took a lot of photos on the way. We were all very happy during those two days.😻
